New Walk Production is a music pre-production organization founded by Steve Walker and Leo Newton. After both attending school in New York, they decided to combine their talent as musicians, songwriters and recording / sound technicians, to form a music production company to promote their writing and production skills.

They have since gained an extremely favorable reputation throughout the Tri State area among many well known local independent artists. They are individually very committed to their local church as musicians and each proclaim their faith in God as paramount in pursuing their dreams within the music industry.

STAFF BIO

• Steve Walker, AKA "Chef"

Born and raised in Newark ,NJ, Steve " Chef " Walker is one of eight brothers and sister. Son of a pastor and a deacon, he was raised to love the Lord with all of his heart. Chef is happily married with two beautiful children. Chef has been living for God practically all of his life. Chef was introduced to music at the early age of 6 singing in the church choir. As a student at NY City's Institute of Audio Research, Chef had his hands on training in the studio then later on interned under Donald Parker Jr. His musical influence were artist like Commissioned, The King James version, Andre Crouch ,Music soul child, Glenn Lewis, J. Michael - just to name a few. Chef is a former member of Natalie Wilson and SOP and featured on the second cd titled Peace and Tranquility. Since then, he has been singing background for local artist and producing music. Chef is one half of the up and coming production company called NewWalk Productions based in South Jersey.
